Steven's CORD Chapter Update

Steven's first day back to school following his surgery and recovery

Steven’s CORD Foundation and its work have been on hold as Steven has been in recovery from surgery for a complete radical resection of his massive spinal cord ependymoma. His surgery was in Baltimore at Johns Hopkins with neurosurgeon, Dr. George Jallo, and was a complete success. Steven has been working hard at physical therapy and is happy to just be a normal kid again. His recovery will be slow because of his radiation and year of steroids for swelling, but each day he gets better. Many thanks to everyone for their prayers. Steven truly is a miracle thanks to God’s grace shown through your prayers.

Our heartfelt thanks to Karen and Al Schroeder who help us run the Steven’s CORD chapter.

We will be joining in the Annual Appeal for our second year. More events will be held as Steven stabilizes and life returns to some form of normalcy. It’s been a long year!! Surely God will bless us with great opportunities to continue growing. We look forward to it.
